Selina Gasparin breaks ground in the Roland Arena

The Roland Arena in the Lenzerheide holiday region is responding to the wishes and needs of top and recreational athletes. They are extending their roller ski run by 2.4 km. Thus, the total length after completion will be around 4 km. 

Ideal training conditions
Thanks to the extension, the Roland Arena will create ideal training conditions for top athletes such as Selina Gasparin. In addition, the Roland Arena will be able to establish itself as a renowned training and competition location, which is a strong signal to the International Biathlon Union (IBU).

Facts about the project

• Length of existing roller ski run: 1.6 km
• New total length: 4 km
• Total costs: 3.3 million Swiss francs
• Opening of first loop: June 2022

The complete realisation of the roller ski run will take place in 2023 with the installation of the surface.
