The Magic Forest Lenzerheide is in the starting blocks
With the combination of light art, music experience and culinary delights in the midst of a wintry mountain world, the initiators of the Magic Forest Lenzerheide have developed a completely new festival concept in December 2013. The slogan "Fascination for all the senses" sums it up: the Magic Forest Lenzerheide is an overall experience for young and old - a fascination where you can discover a wonderfully enchanting world. Since its premiere, Zauberwald Lenzerheide has already been held eight times, each time in the run-up to Christmas, and has established itself as a permanent fixture in the Swiss festival world. This year's 9th edition, together with the long-standing presenting partner "ewz - Elektrizitätswerk der Stadt Zürich", once again promises a varied program.
Music program: Sportfreunde Stiller, Namika, Hecht and Lola Marsh
After an artistic break of one year, they are back: the German indie rock group Sportfreunde Stiller. With a new single and album in their luggage, the trio will thrill audiences shortly before Christmas on Thursday, December 22, 2022. Also coming from Germany is another headliner: pop singer Namika. Her "Wie geht's dir?" tour with new music does not actually start until spring 2023, but in Lenzerheide there will already be a first foretaste on Monday, December 19, 2022. Of course, top-class support from Switzerland must not be missing: for example, with Hecht as one of the most successful live acts that Switzerland has to offer. The multiple gold and platinum winners will perform on Monday, December 26, 2022. And then there's another musical gem: the Israeli indie pop band Lola Marsh. Romantic, nostalgic and a bit dreamy, the duo presents itself on Sunday, December 18, 2022. 15 other national and international acts complete this year's music program of Zauberwald Lenzerheide. The complete line-up is available at zauberwald-lenzerheide.ch.
Children's program: Silberbüx, Aunt Carmen, Linard Bardill and Papagallo & Gollo
With Papagallo & Gollo, Tante Carmen, Pumpelpitz, Linard Bardill, Marc Haller, Zack Zack, Laurent & Max, Dan White and Silberbüx, nine artists are waiting in the wings to perform one to three times as part of the children's program on the Zauberwald stage. The first act will be the globetrotter "Gollo" and his talkative parrot "Papagallo", who will take the children on an adventurous journey. Afterwards, the children can look forward to interactive singing, dancing and stories with Aunt Carmen, before the most successful children's songwriter in the Grisons, Linard Bardill, takes up the guitar later. The Magic Forest Lenzerheide will be rounded off by another highlight, the successful children's band Silberbüx, who, as a detective group, will solve exciting cases together with the children.
Light art: Surprising and interactive - and more international than ever before
On the light art tour you will be enchanted by 14 surprising installations. As in previous years, the art and design collective NOA curates the projects and manages to stage the forest even more magical and mystical. There is no all-encompassing theme - it is the interplay of small and large, loud and quiet, static and interactive that makes up the Magic Forest Lenzerheide. The teams this year are more international than ever and come from Switzerland as well as Austria, Romania, Spain, France and the Netherlands. Among other things, you can look forward to a magical entrance gate, an interactive four-in-a-row game, a glowing dream catcher and much more.
Classic Corner: Conducted by the Graubünden soprano Nora Bertogg
Classical music combined with light art - that's the Classic Corner in the Magic Forest Lenzerheide, a unique concert experience in nature. You can approach on two adjacent forest paths to enjoy different musical performances in the middle of the forest at a circular stage. As in the previous year, the Classic Corner in 2022 is organized by the association "KaP Kultur am Pass" and curated by the Graubünden soprano Nora Bertogg. This year's program promises musical quality at the highest level as well as artists who contribute to this extraordinary concert format with open-mindedness and a love of experimentation. Thanks to a wide variety of instruments and formations, a colorful and diverse program has been created. What all the artists have in common is their strong musical expressiveness as well as the joy of trying something new and taking classical music out of the concert hall.
